The difference is clearly noticed -- GSD of 1940s to GSD of 2000s, the breed underwent a continuous change.
Notice the German shepherd pictures carefully. You can their's a noticeable difference in the structure of the breed. Look at the 'Top Lines' of the two shepherds. Interesting! Too bad we can't time travel back to the 40's and 50's to get a German Sheperd. They looked far more functional and were more pleasing in appearance!
Yes, indeed. Aren't these present German Sheperds sick in many ways too, because they have been selected according go outlook mutations - and with sich mutations in many other ways too and with heavy inbreeding. So sad what human want to do : (
yes it is sad, just saw it on the BBC program "Pedigree Dogs Exposed"...the pain that some of those "purebreds" suffer...the inbreeding the terrible!
